Shock news for Thais and it affect in Thais tattoo.

Hello everyone, it is me yet again. Hope you guys are doing well. As you see the tittle, today I'm still vey sad about the news that is just happened recently in my country.

In 13 oct, our beloved His Majesty The King Bhumipol passed away at the age of 88. This leaves Thais mourning until today. The street of Thailand were filled with grief and people were flooded into Bangkok in order to visit the King's body. This incident have an effect to all Thai enterprise, as a whole nation cry, a lot try to find a way to remember their king, and yes, tattoo is a very popular choice of the people.

Thailand have a very long story with tattoo since Kingdom of Ayutthaya, people have to get their ID tattoo on their arm to show the authorities. It has been change through out the time. After the death of the king, I started to see a lot of Thai people getting a tattoo about the king in many way.

I can find a lot of the tattoo about the king all over FaceBook. However, someone says that it is not good to tattoo the face of his majesty the king because he is like a god, not deserve to be on an ordinary people skin(Thai believe ). But as I kept saying, tattoo is individual so I'm not going to judge anyone about having the king's tattoo.

A lot of tattoo artist don't do any work about drawing the face of the king but they're willing to tattoo anything associate with the king.

Like this tattoo artist, he said he is not doing any work of drawing the king's face and any royal symbols. However, you can tattoo the picture of Thailand or number 9 or any word to say you are the king's people.

You can see that Thais love their king so much, they would get a tattoo about him for. Which makes me think that tattoo can be a very powerful message to express the one's feeling in a particular time.

However, Thais will continue wearing black/ white for a period of time and all entertainment will be stopped for 30 days.
