Hello everyone, after I've been talking about fundamental knowledge of tattoos, now I think it is a good time to inform you guys about the history of it to see how is it cope with human society until this day.
First of all, tattoos has been around with human race since the beginning of time, it has been an evidence of mummies all over the world. However, in that rime, tattoos are not a fashion thing like today. Moreover, it is often in the form of love, religion, Social classification or even form of punishment. Joann Fletcher, research in the department of archaeology at the University of York , describes the history of tattoos and their cultural significance to people around the world, from the famous " Iceman," a 5,200-year-old frozen mummy. The earliest evidence found in Peru.

After we know a basic history of tattoo, I think it is very interesting for you guys to get an idea about how does tattoos played a part in society and it effect on society.
For example, the woman body with tattoo found in Egypt were usually dismissed by male who seemed to assume the women were of "dubious status," described in some cases as "dancing girls. The body was found in royal buried ground so the professionals assume that she used to be a dancing girl in the high palace and the tattoo described her status. However, in the past woman with tattoos will be looked down as a prostitute because they were a believe that some tattoo design can prevent sexual tradition diseases.
Not very long ago tattoos were a symbol of thug, drug ,gang members or rebellions. Personally, I think music and pop-culture plays this part because it can be seen that a lot of controversial musicians or idols all have tattoos.

Back in ancient time. Have you ever wondered how they tattoo? what did they used?
It is possible that an implement best described as a sharp point set in a wooden handle, bronze or iron. Think of it like Thai monk tattoo, a long sharp stick and dip in ink and using a man power to pier it through the skin. The English writer William Lane (1801-1876) said that, "the operation is performed with several needles (generally seven) tied together. Personally I think that is why tattooing in the past is now so good because in shading or lining is a lot better with machine(tattoo gun).
After the invention of several color and tattoo machine, it makes tattoo wild spread and create what I like to call a "mixing of style" which brings more life to tattoos these day, after world war II, tattoos gets wild spread from the soldiers especially from the west to the east and that is how the fashion of modern tattoo begins.

Stay tuned for next week!!!, I will talking about my new tattoo. The process, my artist and the photo of it!!!
